Reduced Sugar Caramel Pie

To Caramelize Sugar Add sugar to cast iron skillet low heat.

As it melts it will lump up and then fully melt.

Done when golden brown, but it burns quickly so watch closely.

Add to your filling mixture and cook until pudding consistency.

Pour the filling in a baked deep dish pie crust

Top with homemade meringue 

Brown meringue, cool and store in frig.
