Updating an Old Executive Desk for a Home Office

Update an old desk for a home office

Start with a good used desk Mine was an old heavy, executive type

Remove the hardware and clean the desk. Take out the drawers. Hardware: Replace, or sand and paint.

Choose your paint color. I used on off-white chalk paint for the desk and an espresso stain for the top. Clear sealers for desk and top.

Use 2-3 coats on high surface areas like top and drawers. Don't give up after the first coat!

Allow to dry thoroughly between all coats.
