Retirement. Not always an easy word to get used to especially if you have lived a life of serving others or grew up always being “productive.”

I’m a country girl at heart and have lived in Mississippi all my life.  I graduated from Ole Miss and had a fulfilling career as a Nurse Practitioner. My husband and I have been together for 50+ years and we have one daughter, Carrie, David our son-in-law, and three beautiful grandchildren.

Several years ago I started an e-commerce website, Trendy Tree, which is now owned and operated by Carrie and David.

Now I’m navigating my way through retirement. I’m trying to find that happy medium between having purpose and being productive yet enjoying a well-deserved rest.

You will find my connection still runs deep to Trendy Tree. Many of my posts, social networking accounts, and crafts are still related to Trendy Tree. So don’t be surprised when you see me sharing beautiful products and creative ideas for wreath-making and holiday decorating. All with spectacular products from Trendy Tree)))

I started this blog to share my journey and hope to engage and hear from others with similar experiences. If you need ideas for easy crafts, simple wreath projects, floral pieces, or quick and easy recipes….you’ve come to the right place!

Follow along with me and let’s explore retirement and learn how to enjoy it to the fullest.
