Ice Storm Update!
We have been without electricity from the ice storm for days, but we’re so thankful that our electricity was restored last night—what a relief! I was so excited, I couldn’t decide whether to take a hot bath or catch up on some TV! It’s been such a blessing this morning to flip on a light switch without needing a lantern or flashlight. You really don’t appreciate the little things until they’re gone.
My refrigerator is all cleaned out and restocked, but my poor freezer….all that was in it was lost. But that is the least of my worries. We didn’t have any falls and I’m very thankful for that.
There are still so many in our area and across the South who are without power and water. For some of these folks, it may be weeks before service is restored. We have trees down around us, but cleanup can wait for better weather. Please keep the linemen, first responders, and everyone still struggling in your thoughts and prayers.
