A Christmas Tree That Stopped Me in My Tracks
There are certain Christmas trees that stay with you long after the holiday season is over, and this is definitely one of them.
I captured a short video of this beautiful tree while attending market a while back, and I believe it was displayed in the Regency International showroom. Whether it was designed for a home, business, or commercial display, it perfectly captures everything I love about nature-inspired Christmas decorating.
Why I Love Decorating with Red Berries
If you’ve spent much time around my Christmas decorations, you already know I have a soft spot for red berry sprays. They’re one of the easiest ways to add rich color, texture, and fullness to a Christmas tree, mantel, wreath, or holiday centerpiece.
What makes this tree especially beautiful is the combination of natural elements. The abundant red berries are paired with glossy holly, whimsical cardinals, woodland mushrooms, and creamy ivory ornaments instead of bright white ones.
That subtle change makes all the difference. The softer ornaments tone down the contrast between the reds and whites, creating a warmer, more relaxed woodland feel that’s elegant without being fussy.
Easy Woodland Christmas Decorating Ideas
One of the best things about this decorating style is that it’s easy to recreate.
Red berry sprays, holly stems, cardinals, woodland ornaments, mushrooms, pinecones, and natural greenery are all readily available during the holiday season. Over the years I’ve collected quite a variety of berry sprays, and they’ve become some of my favorite decorating pieces because they work beautifully in trees, wreaths, garlands, and floral arrangements.
Looking at this tree again has me thinking…I may just have to decorate my own Christmas tree with this woodland theme this year!
