Coconut Pineapple Lime Fizz: Sparkling Water

I’ve been making loaded teas for quite some time now, but over the past few months I’ve gradually shifted into something a whole lot easier — sparkling water drinks. Now, I know nothing is simpler than opening one packet of a store-bought loaded tea mix — usually priced anywhere from $4 to $7 — or grabbing a drink at a tea shop for $7 to $10. But honestly? It hurts my soul a little when I see my grandchildren paying ten dollars for a drink.

They do it, of course, but I’m always happy to make them a loaded tea at home whenever they ask — and those usually cost right around a dollar to make. After making a lot of loaded teas lately, I realized that for myself, I just wanted something quick, easy, and refreshing. No measuring. No cleanup. Just something good to sip on.

That’s when flavored sparkling water entered the picture.

Why Sparkling Water Just Works

Using sparkling water instead of plain water adds something extra that I really enjoy — that little bite of carbonation. There’s no caffeine in sparkling water, so if you’re looking for an energy boost, that’s the trade-off. But for me, that fizzy refreshment more than makes up for it. It turns a simple flavored drink into something that feels special, crisp, and genuinely refreshing.

I’ve started reaching for sparkling water more often because it’s fast, easy, and doesn’t require pulling out measuring cups or cleaning up a mess afterward. It’s the kind of drink you can throw together in just a minute and actually look forward to sipping.

Coconut Pineapple Lime Fizz (Sparkling Water)

This sparkling water drink is light, refreshing, and incredibly easy to make. It combines tropical coconut and pineapple flavors with a bright splash of lime, all finished off with bubbly carbonation. No measuring cups, no blender, and no cleanup — just a quick mix and pour.

Ingredients

  • 1 lime drink mix packet
  • 1 piña colada drink mix packet
  • 1 (12 oz) can Bubly Coconut Pineapple Sparkling Water
  • Ice
  • Cold water (just a few ounces to dissolve the packets)

Dissolve the drink mix packets in a couple of ounces of cold water in a 32-ounce cup, stirring well until completely dissolved. Fill the cup with ice, then pour the sparkling water over the ice. If it doesn’t quite fill the cup, just top it off with a little more sparkling water and give it a quick stir.

Mix It Up

It’s been fun experimenting with different flavors of sparkling water and drink mixes, and I always seem to come back to combinations like peach, pineapple, or lime paired with Margaritaville’s Piña Colada drink mix. The piña colada mix gives the drink that pretty white color and just enough sweetness to take the edge off stronger flavors. Add in that fizzy kick from the sparkling water, and it’s a combination that really works.

Try it for yourself and experiment with flavors you enjoy — then let me know what your favorites are. Bubly (I usually pick mine up at Walmart) comes in several different flavors, so it’s easy to mix things up and keep it interesting.
