Boho Decor
Boho Style Decor
Now, let me say right up front, this is not an image of my kitchen table))) Would I like it to be? Yes!
Boho decor is a term I’ve been hearing and for a while and I really wasn’t quite sure what it meant. When someone would talk about it, things like shabby chic, hippie, vintage, or bougie came to my mind.
Bohemian Style Decor
Boho home decor is a style that embraces a free-spirited, eclectic, and relaxed aesthetic. Inspired by bohemian and hippie influences, it combines vibrant colors, natural materials, and a mix of patterns and textures. Macramé, rattan furniture, colorful textiles, and hanging plants, are commonly associated with a boho look. Boho decor celebrates individuality and creativity. It allows for an expressive and personalized space. With its laid-back and inviting vibe, boho home decor creates a warm and welcoming atmosphere that encourages a sense of wanderlust and adventure.

5 Easy Ways to Infuse Boho Charm into Your Home
Hippie Era
Boho decor draws inspiration from the hippie era. I remember making some groovy macrame hangers and even though I was a teenager and young adult during the hippie era, I wasn’t much of a hippie.
Being a country girl, my hippie persona mostly consisted of wearing paisley, tie-dye, headbands, and sandals. And remember those big floor cushions? We made them out of crushed velvet. My favorite was a red and gold creation. I think Simplicity or Butterick had a pattern for them.
Not much of a hippie huh? But I do know that I don’t care to smell patchouli ever again))) Or musk oil!
Trendy Tree Boho Decor
Now you might not think that you would find products with a boho look from Trendy Tree! Mostly all the products I’ve shared have been florals, mesh, ribbon….things to make wreaths with, or floral centerpieces. But I was working on some pin images for Carrie this week and found a few eclectic things that fit right in with the boho style.
These dried zinnias are light as a feather in weight and color. They come in a bag of 16.
I love this dried orange garland. It’s perfect for fall and winter decorating. It would look good just filling a bowl or basket, draped across a mantel, or even on a Christmas tree! The reason I mention the Christmas tree is that RAZ had a tree last year or the year before called Holiday Spice. It was one of my favorite trees and it was covered in orange garlands, picks, cinnamon bundles, and spice jars. Don’t you just love it! The garland isn’t exactly like the RAZ product, but very similar.
If you are a person who likes to decorate early for Christmas, this tree would be perfect as a fall tree and move right into winter.
Well, I had never heard of Putka pods before, but aren’t these cute!
I’m on a roll this week! First white eggplant was news to me and now Putka pods. I guess it’s true that you’re never too old to learn new things)))
Boho Decor – Natural Fillers
Putka pods, also known as pumpkin pods or miniature pumpkins, are small, decorative fruit pods that resemble tiny pumpkins. Putka pods are commonly used in crafts, floral arrangements, and seasonal decorations due to their natural and rustic appeal and boho style.
Trendy Tree has a couple of styles of natural fillers that are made up of pods and cones. They are not scented as potpourri is.
Potpourri has experienced a decline in popularity in recent years, as home fragrance trends have shifted towards other options such as candles, diffusers, and essential oils.
But style preferences vary among individuals and even if some consider potpourri to be outdated, others may still enjoy its traditional and natural fragrance. Ultimately, if you like it, then, by all means, go for it.
Nothing ticks me off like those articles that say “remove these things from your home now” or “things that babyboomers need to let go of.”
These last two images of natural fillers are similar, but a little different. Here are a few other accent pieces that just arrived at Trendy Tree.

Final Thoughts
I think there is a little desire for boho decor in all of us. We may not go all out, but we like small touches here and there…candles, lanterns, throws, fuzzy pillows, fringe or tassels, mismatched picture frames, and vintage rugs, just to name a few accent pieces. Any of those things in your home?
