Easy Spring Wreath Makeover with Florals & a Bunny

Spring is the perfect time to freshen up your decor, and this simple wreath makeover was so much fun! I started with a $10 greenery wreath from Dollar General and added spring florals, a cute flocked bunny, and a handmade bow to give it a whole new look. Most of the supplies came from Trendy Tree, and it all came together so easily! Keep reading for all the details and a few tips if you want to make one too.

Why Start with a Premade Wreath?

Using a premade wreath on a grapevine base is an easy way to get a fuller look while using fewer supplies compared to starting with a bare grapevine wreath. The greenery already gives you a great foundation, so you just have to add florals and accents to bring it to life!

When I make things like this for my own home, I typically don’t use hot glue—especially for a smaller wreath like this one. Since it’s meant for a stationary spot like a bookshelf or in front of a mirror, it won’t be moved around much. That said, I did stop and shake it several times while inserting stems to make sure nothing was loose. If a piece moved too easily, I adjusted it until it felt secure. No glue needed! 😊

One of the things I enjoy most about crafting is repurposing what I already have. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve bought everything I needed for a project… and then never actually made it! 😂 When it comes to something like this spring wreath makeover, I seem to do better when I pick up a couple of new things and then scrounge through my leftover supplies to piece something together. It’s a fun way to get creative, save money, and make something unique with what’s already on hand! I already have ideas how I can reuse this wreath around Memorial Day with some red, white, and blue florals and Patriotic ribbon.
