Holiday Trends 2024: Christmas in the Garden

Discover RAZ’s ‘Christmas in the Garden’ Collection
I always love traveling to the Dallas market to explore the latest trends, and this year’s RAZ Imports “Christmas in the Garden” collection didn’t disappoint! The showroom was filled with festive inspiration, featuring classic reds, rich greens, pinks, and natural touches like florals and lanterns. This collection perfectly blends the beauty of an outdoor garden with a cozy holiday charm. It’s a stunning way to bring the warmth of nature indoors, creating a holiday atmosphere that’s both fresh and timeless. Let’s explore some of my favorite pieces!
Christmas in the Garden Wreaths
This wreath is such a lovely mix of red and pink roses with lush greenery that instantly feels fresh and inviting. I love how it’s not just perfect for Christmas or winter, but could easily work year-round in any space. Seeing it immediately makes me think of recreating a similar wreath for myself! Its vibrant yet soft color palette brings a touch of elegance and warmth to any home, no matter the season.
I couldn’t find this exact RAZ wreath on Amazon, but Trendy Tree has a 22″ Mixed Eucalyptus Berry Wreath that’s a great starting point. By adding some cedar picks, green berries, Queen Anne’s lace, red ranunculus, pink ranunculus, and maybe some other red blooms, you could create a wreath very similar to the one in the image. With just a few floral additions, you could have a fresh, beautiful wreath that would work year-round!
This wreath from RAZ will inspire you to create a similar wreath with berry picks and sprays. The red berry wreath features lush pine greenery, bright red berries, and pinecones, creating a natural and classic holiday look. The simple, garden-inspired design is perfect for adding a touch of nature to your Christmas décor.
To recreate this wreath, start with a mixed pine and cedar wreath. Add several red berry sprays, spacing them evenly around the wreath. For a more natural look, tuck in a few small pinecones (pinecones are free for the picking) among the greenery. Secure everything with floral wire or hot glue. This easy DIY version captures the fresh, outdoor feel of the “Christmas in the Garden” theme.
Pinecone Preparation
To prepare real pinecones for a wreath, first bake them to get rid of bugs and sap. Place them on a baking sheet lined with foil and bake at 200°F for about 30 minutes. Let them cool, then brush off any dirt. You can leave them as they are or spray them with clear sealer to keep them looking fresh. Now they’re ready to use in your holiday creations.
Mini Curio Cabinets
These mini curio cabinets from the Christmas in the Garden collection by RAZ Imports make a charming holiday display when decorated with delicate birds, branches, and moss. Inside the cabinets, you can add small ornaments, candles, and festive touches like red ribbons and faux berries, as shown here. The soft glow of the candles enhances the cozy, nature-inspired scene, perfect for the holiday season.
What makes these curio cabinets versatile is their ability to be used year-round. With just a simple change of décor—like swapping out the holiday items for seasonal florals, greenery, or keepsakes—you can refresh the look to match any season or occasion. These cabinets offer endless possibilities for creative decorating throughout the year.
The image above exemplifies how seasonal decoration can be changed using these mini curio cabinets from RAZ. Carrie has already changed the summer arrangement above to some fall picks, little pumpkins, etc. I need to get a pic!
Red Chinoiserie Christmas Trees?
These red chinoiserie Christmas trees from the RAZ “Christmas in the Garden” collection add a festive touch with their bold color and detailed design. While they stand out for the holidays, I prefer the classic blue and white chinoiserie for its timeless look. How about you? Do you like the bold red for Christmas, or do you prefer the classic blue and white style?
