I know I talk about Trendy Tree a lot, but for good reason—it’s my daughter and son-in-law’s business! This small, family-run shop started with me in 2009, so give me a little grace if you get tired of hearing about it. 😉
It’s truly a family affair—even my granddaughter-in-law, Taalor, works there now! Not only is she an important part of the team, but she’s also the talented designer behind all the beautiful exclusive Trendy Tree signs you see in our collections. She does an amazing job creating unique designs that make wreaths and décor extra special!
I’m no longer involved in the day-to-day warehouse operations, but I still help with blogging and social media, which keeps me connected in a way I love. I also attend some of the markets, and it’s always a fun getaway. It’s even better now—I don’t have to worry about picking trends or staying on budget. I just get to enjoy browsing all the pretty new things! 😍
Carrie and I have completely switched roles! She used to go to market with me, saying, “Mom, you need to get these! Stock up on this! Try this new brand!” I was always the one reining her in, reminding her we had a budget… lol. Now, she’s the one making the big decisions, and I’m the one saying, “Oh, this would be nice! Why don’t you try these?” Funny how things come full circle! 😂
And did you know that before Trendy Tree, I was a Nurse Practitioner and Carrie was an RN? We went from taking care of patients to running a family business—who would have thought? Nurses turned entrepreneurs! It’s been quite the journey, but we’re so grateful for where it’s taken us. 💕
