Dallas Market

This post is about a DIY Easter wreath that you can make with supplies from Trendy Tree.

I’m at the Dallas Market this week with Carrie and the Trendy Tree crew (Ashleigh and Taalor) and today we did a first! Carrie and some wreath buddies and business friends created this cute Easter wreath in the Jascotina showroom)))

You can watch the replay of the Facebook/YouTube/TikTok live below.

Basic Instructions

As you watch the replay you will see that they didn’t have all the usual tools used when making a wreath. It was a “fly by the seat of your pants” wreath)))

Tammy Hodges, Polka Do Wreath Co, and Jordan Matthew, Designs by Jordan, are two expert wreath makers who were on hand to give Carrie guidance and tips. They cut, mesh, and ribbons with no measuring tools and put this wreath together in just a few minutes.

They did a pouf technique around the wreath form with one color and made ruffles with the second color. The ribbons were cut into strips and added to each twist around the wreath. Jordan made a free-handed bow and added the picks to the bottom of the bow and attached it all to the wreath form. Carrie attached the round metal sign to the form.

Please note, that we punched holes in the sides of the sign before we went to market, and it would have been better had the holes been punched top and bottom. Anyway, the round metal Big Hoppa sign that comes in the kit does not have any holes. You can attach chenille stems to the sign with cable holders or clips.

If Carrie and her friends can create a DIY Easter wreath “on the fly” so can you!

Stay tuned! There is more to come from the Dallas market. We will be here for a couple more days and then head home. I’m taking lots of images and video and gathering ideas for holiday decorating. I can’t wait to share))
