Keto Sausage Balls: Low-Carb, Cheesy, & Perfect for Game Day!
Our game day kicked off at 11:00 a.m. on the back porch — the perfect spot for a little tailgating at home. Of course, you can’t watch football without a few good snacks! I decided to try something new this time: keto sausage balls made with almond and coconut flour instead of a baking mix. They came together in just a few minutes and baked up golden, cheesy, and delicious — every bit as good as the old flour version, just a little lighter and low-carb.

🍴 How to Make Keto Sausage Balls
Allow the cream cheese to soften at room temperature, and preheat the oven to 325°F to 350°F. My oven tends to run hot, so when recipes call for 350°, I usually stick with 300° to 325°.
Prepare a cookie sheet with parchment paper—the sausage balls won’t stick, and cleanup is a breeze. Combine all the ingredients in a large bowl (no need to fry the sausage first—some recipes call for that, but not this one).
Form the mixture into golf ball–size portions and place them about 1½ inches apart on the baking sheet. My batch made 22 sausage balls—a few were a little larger than a golf ball, but nobody’s perfect!
Bake for 20–25 minutes, depending on your oven. I checked mine at 20 minutes, and they were just right—golden, cheesy, and delicious.
Serve them warm, and if you like, sprinkle a touch more salt before serving (but taste first!).
💬 Final Thoughts
The estimated calorie count on these Keto Sausage Balls is a little higher than I expected—but still worth every single bite. This is definitely a recipe I’ll be repeating! And as for the day after… well, they warm up beautifully in the microwave—that is, if you have any left over! 😊
