Winter Table Centerpiece: Pine Wreath, Pinecones & Sparkle
Repurposing What You Already Have
I created this winter table centerpiece using items I already had on hand—some going back several years. I love finding ways to repurpose décor, especially when I can rotate pieces from Christmas into simple winter décor with very little effort. The gold-stand bowl was a gift from a friend. Last year I filled it with ball ornaments and tiny lights for a warm holiday glow.
Adding Winter Greenery & Natural Texture
This year, I pulled out a couple of old RAZ lighted pinecone garlands. After changing the batteries, I discovered one garland still worked beautifully, and the other had reached the end of its life. I simply cut off the pinecones and used them anyway.
To build the winter greenery arrangement, I set the bowl and stand down into a pine wreath—one that already had pinecones tucked in—and added a bit of extra greenery here and there. It instantly created a fuller look without purchasing anything new.
Natural pinecones dusted with a bit of glitter would be just as pretty in the bowl too. You can slow-bake them in the oven on low to help them open up. Then spray a little glue and sprinklel some glitter…or faux snow. It’s an easy, inexpensive way to bring in more natural texture. Add a few sprigs of fresh holly or magnolia tucked around the wreath. Then you have an almost fresh arrangement feel fresh for that special dinner. Remove the fresh stems later and wait out the season)))
Finishing Touch: A Warm Winter Glow
For a little sparkle, I added a strand of tiny battery lights to the bowl. Between the shimmer of the pinecones and the soft glow of the lights, this turned into the perfect DIY winter centerpiece. It brightens the kitchen area without being overly seasonal.
A Centerpiece That Lasts All Season
One of the best parts of this easy winter table idea is that it works from Christmas straight through the winter months. No swapping, no fuss. I don’t have to change a thing on my table until… March? Works for me!
