DIY Boxwood Wreath Bow: Using Scrap Ribbons & the EZ Bowmaker

Creating a beautiful bow for a square boxwood wreath doesn’t have to mean buying all new supplies! I put together a neutral-toned bow using scrap ribbons I already had on hand, and with the help of my EZ Bowmaker, it came together effortlessly. All of my materials—the wreath, ribbons, and bowmaker—came from Trendy Tree. While some of the exact ribbons may be sold out, don’t worry—there are plenty of gorgeous options to choose from! I’ll show you exactly how I put this bow together so you can easily recreate it for your own wreath.
Supplies from Trendy Tree
When it comes to wreath-making supplies, Trendy Tree is my go-to. That’s where I originally picked up the EZ Bowmaker, along with the square boxwood wreath I used for this project. The ribbons I used were leftover scraps from past Trendy Tree stoc—so while the exact styles might be sold out, they always have a wide range of beautiful neutrals and textures to choose from. It’s a great reminder to hang on to those ribbon leftovers—you never know when they’ll come in handy!
A Go-To Look for Any Season
A green boxwood wreath paired with a neutral bow is one of the most versatile looks you can hang on your door. It’s perfect as everyday decor—clean, classic, and welcoming. It also works beautifully as a transitional wreath, filling the gap between seasons when you’re not quite ready to go full-on holiday or seasonal theme. The greenery adds a fresh, natural touch, while the neutral bow keeps things simple and timeless. It’s an easy way to keep your door dressed without overthinking it!
Fresh Looks Ahead
I’ll probably switch out this bow during the summer or early fall to keep things looking fresh and updated. That’s one of the things I love most about a boxwood wreath—it’s the perfect base for changing things up with the seasons! So stay tuned for more bow tutorials and boxwood wreath ideas coming your way. I’ve got lots of inspiration planned, and I can’t wait to share more ways to style this simple, versatile wreath!
