Loaded Tea Happy Camper – Silver Lining Lessons Recipe

A few days ago I did a post about experimenting with homemade loaded teas with recipes from Silver Lining Lessons. Well, I’m still experimenting, but I wanted to share the Happy Camper loaded tea recipe since it is fast becoming one of my favorites!

Silver Lining Lessons – Loaded Teas

If you want to know more about how to make loaded teas at home, I encourage you to visit the Silver Lining Lessons website. It contains a wealth of information and so many recipes! I’m gradually building my supply of flavors and keeping track of the recipes we especially like. My next purchase needs to be for some 32 oz clear cups from Amazon….between making teas for myself and other people….my cups keep walking off)))

Presentation is so important, isn’t it! A loaded tea would taste the same regardless of the container. But a sparkling clear cup makes it look so much more appetizing))) And hey, I’m getting pretty good at making those colors pop!

Happy Camper

The Happy Camper-loaded tea recipe appealed to me because of its simple flavors. Get the complete recipe from Silver Lining Lessons. Flavors for Happy Camper include orange, pineapple, and strawberry.

Shopping for Ingredients

I ordered the Waka green tea and Nutricost Guarana Powder from Amazon. It only took a couple of days to arrive. My affiliate links are included. Any time you click on an affiliate link and make a purchase, I may receive a small fee. It does not add anything to the cost of your product, it’s an advertising fee that Amazon pays.

Many of the recipes from Silver Lining Lessons are made with green tea, black, tea, and other flavored types. I’m building my supply slowly and just adding new products along. SLL (Silver Lining Lessons) gives you a good list of some “basic” loaded teas to start with.

The flavored drink mixes can be found at Walmart, grocery stores, dollar stores, and drug stores. You can always order online too.

I’m finding myself checking out every store I go into! It’s like a treasure hunt))) I found some Sunkist Peach in Dollar General the other day and I didn’t even know it existed! Peach is my favorite go-to drink and after Walmart dropped its Great Value peach drink, the only one I have been able to find is Wyler’s peach. It’s sold in ONE place in Pontotoc….the Piggly Wiggly.

So, if I don’t have the exact specifics for an SLL-loaded tea recipe, I just make a substitution. So far so good. I am finding that a little bit of the pineapple powder goes a long way, it’s pretty sweet. I’m not a big fan of anything too blue, but I made Matt (grandson) a Captain America yesterday and it was pretty tasty.

I’m going to have to create more space in my pantry if I collect many more tea-making products))

Next Up – SLL Protein Shakes

Silver Lining Lessons also has recipes for protein shakes on their website. I’ve been eyeing “Almond Joy.” It has a base of Slimfast chocolate smoothie powder, protein powder, vanilla pudding powder, and sugar-free coconut syrup. Doesn’t that sound delicious!

It will just take me a while to find the ingredients, so the hunt is on! Everything should be available from Walmart, but we’re in a small town so it may take some searching. This shake is a meal-replacement shake with around 200 calories and 22 grams of protein. I can’t wait to try it)))

4/13/24 Update

Here’s that Almond Joy protein shake we finally got to experience)))
