Mardi Gras is just around the corner! Have you ever been to Mardi Gras in New Orleans? Me either! It’s on my bucket list))
The closest thing to Mardi Gras I have ever been to was a convention for critical care nurses held at the convention center in New Orleans. It was actually just a few weeks before Katrina!
Anyway, the opening ceremony began with a Mardi Gras-style parade with a jazz band and everything. It was such fun. The costumes were over the top and everyone was having a good time! What makes an adult grab at those silly beads like they are gold)))
As they say in Cajun French ….
Mardi Gras Decorations
I don’t usually decorate for Mardi Gras but I have many friends and family in Louisiana that do! While we were at the Dallas market a couple of weeks ago, the Craig Bachman showroom had tons of Mardi Gras decorations and a gorgeous Mardi Gras tree. In fact, it was the only one I saw at the market I think. Just wanted to share to get you in the Mardi Gras mood!

These are just a few of the Mardi Gras decorations from Trendy Tree that you could use in your home. The signs are cute with just a bow, or you can make a complete wreath! Just go to Trendy Tree and browse around through the tutorials for a wreath. You can always pick out the style of mesh, ribbon, or sign that you want to use. I suggest using 10″ mesh (one or two colors) and doing the ruffle technique. It’s easy))
