What My Imagination Saw: Part 3
What My Imagination Saw Part 3 is another collection of those little things I spot along the trail that make my imagination take off. Have you ever looked at something in nature and imagined it was something completely different? I do it all the time. These are ordinary photographs I captured while exploring the outdoors, paired with the whimsical scenes my imagination couldn’t resist creating.
Most of these little discoveries happen while I’m riding my e-trike along Mississippi’s Tanglefoot Trail. As I pedal down the trail, I often see more than the camera captures.
The Horse That Became a Unicorn
As I rounded the bend on the trail, I spotted this beautiful horse peeking out from behind a tree. He was so calm and curious, just watching me as I rolled by. But when I looked at the photo later, my imagination kicked in. With a little sparkle and a magical horn, he became something straight out of a fairytale.
The Snake in the Trees
This old vine hanging from the tree caught my eye because, from just the right angle, it already looked a little like a snake. Of course, my imagination had to finish the job! Suddenly that twisted vine had a silly face and was hanging there watching everyone pass by. This is definitely my kind of snake — the kind that makes me smile instead of pedal faster! 😂
A Tree Ready for Christmas
This vine had wrapped itself around the tree so perfectly that it looked like someone had decorated it on purpose. All I could see was one of those poles wrapped in garland for Christmas! Add a little greenery, some bright red ribbon and a big bow on top, and suddenly the woods were ready for the holidays. 🎄
Cows on a Pool Day
When I saw these cows standing out in the pond, they looked like they had decided farm life could wait — it was time for a pool day! 😂 My imagination added a few swimsuits, and suddenly they weren’t cooling off in a pond at all. They were just a group of girlfriends enjoying a little summer vacation. All they’re missing are the sunglasses and something cold to drink!
That’s all for Part 3, but I’m sure it won’t be the last! The leaves are already beginning to fall along the Tanglefoot Trail, and every time we ride, I’m amazed at something new I notice along the way. You just never know what might catch my eye — or what my imagination might turn it into. 😊
