Simple Orchid Floral Arrangement: 10-Minute Project
On a recent visit to the Biltmore Estate in Asheville, NC, I found unexpected inspiration for a simple orchid floral arrangement. While the mansion was stunning, it was the gardens and greenhouses that really stole the show for me—especially the orchid section. The colors, shapes, and variety were absolutely breathtaking. When we got back home, I checked in with Carrie at Trendy Tree to see if she had any orchid sprays. Sure enough, she had both a rich pink-violet and a creamy white. I went with the white—it felt fresh and clean—and used it to create a quick little arrangement for my desk.
Real vs. Faux: Orchid Beauty Side by Side
After walking through the orchid displays at Biltmore, I couldn’t believe how close the faux ones from Trendy Tree come to the real deal. The petals, the colors, even the little buds—they’re super realistic! Of course, nothing beats a living orchid in full bloom, but these artificial stems are pretty impressive. And honestly, for something that’s going to sit on my desk and not need watering or sunshine, the faux version is perfect. They give off the same elegant look without any of the fuss.

Simple, No-Glue, and Perfect for My Desk
And here it is, sitting on my desk—simple, and exactly the little boost of beauty I wanted. I didn’t even use hot glue for this project because, knowing me, I’ll probably take it apart later and turn it into something else. That’s the fun of working with faux florals—you can keep reusing and rearranging until you get just the look you want. For now, though, I’m loving how this orchid floral arrangement brightens up my space!
