Wait, This Chocolate Pudding Has How Much Protein?!
Who knew chocolate pudding could be both delicious and packed with protein? 🤯 If you’re looking for a way to sneak some extra protein into your favorite sweet treat, this recipe is for you! Using instant pudding mix, a Premier Protein shake, and a scoop of protein powder, you get a creamy, indulgent dessert with a secret boost of nutrition. It’s so good, no one will ever guess it’s actually better for you! 🍫💪
A Protein-Packed Twist on Classic Chocolate Pudding
This high-protein chocolate pudding is as easy as it gets! It starts with a regular-sized box of Jell-O Instant Pudding Mix—I used chocolate, but feel free to experiment with other flavors. Instead of regular milk, I swapped in a Premier Protein Chocolate Shake for a boost of protein and flavor. To take it up another notch, I added one scoop of chocolate protein powder.
Since the Premier Protein shake is only 11.5 oz, you’ll need an extra 4.5 oz of liquid to reach the right consistency. You can use water or milk—I went with water to keep it light. Just stir everything together until smooth, pour into four custard cups, and pop them in the fridge to chill.
Update 2/24/25
Instead of using extra milk or water, I just added a container of vanilla greek yogurt (5.3 oz). It worked great and gave a little extra protein)))
The best part? The protein boost! Regular instant pudding made with whole milk has around 7-8 grams of protein per serving. This version? A solid 12-13 grams of protein per serving! Not bad for a sweet treat that helps you hit your daily protein goals. Top it off with a dollop of whipped cream, and a squirt of Skinny Syrup, and you’ve got yourself a delicious, guilt-free dessert. 🍫💪
Endless Flavor Possibilities!
So far, I’ve only experimented with chocolate and white chocolate instant pudding, but I’m already thinking about the next flavor combos! Vanilla pudding mix with a strawberry shake and vanilla protein powder? Yes, please! Or maybe banana or lemon for a refreshing twist. And how good does butterscotch pudding mix with a caramel shake sound?! 🤩
Oh, and one important note—I should’ve mentioned that the Jell-O should be sugar-free for the best macro balance. Now, time to get creative with more flavors! What combo would you try first? Let me know! 😊
